Qantas are committed to helping end the disparity between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians and have taken a proactive approach to the issue of employee Engagement and Retention - and supporting Indigenous-owned enterprises through a Supplier Diversity program - two critical issues common to most companies in Australia and issues that Qantas has recognised as key areas of focus through their Reconciliation Action plan.

Across Culture’s Mentor Program assists a young Indigenous single mum to get her job back. The 23-year-old single mum has been reinstated after losing her job due to being absent from work for three weeks, with no contact. She is employed by a major supermarket chain, as part of an Indigenous Employment Program (IEP). Across Culture were asked by the IEP provider to assist with this program.
